In June 2010 Riverside Primary School received an Excellence in Public Education Award. The award was issued after the Department of Education Expert Review Group assessed the school and wrote “The capacity of the school to support and nurture all students, sometimes through extreme adversity is quite remarkable. The genuine care, trust and mutual respect that exist among the members of the school community are easily observed. Students feel safe and well supported.”
