The new Science Lab is being put to good use with students enjoying a wide range of science activities.
- Pre-Primary students have been investigating magnetic materials.
- Year 1 students, in chemical science, have been learning about a range of materials and possible changes. They have discussed natural and man-made materials and how they are selected to make objects, such as toys, safe. In week 6 the students investigated spaghetti, uncooked then watched it change by cooking (heat change), during the process they recorded their observations using their 5 senses and shared vocabulary to describe the difference.
- Year 2 Students have been investigating safe and unsafe materials and are in the process of designing a toy.
- Year 3-6 have been learning about microscopes and how to safely use them.
