Our school library is well resourced, with a huge collection of books for students, teachers and parents to borrow. Our Library is an inviting place that encourages all students to develop their knowledge through reading.
The Library is open for student borrowing each day before and after school as well as during students’ Library class times. Book borrowing is also popular for Year 3-6 students for the half hour after lunch each day when those students may exchange their Literacy Pro books. The period after lunch is the busiest time of the day in the Library with over fifty students exchanging their books during this session.
In order to borrow a book, students need a cloth library bag. Cloth bags may be purchased through the school Library. Students in Kindergarten – Year 3 may borrow one book. Students in Year 3-6 may borrow two books, one Literacy Pro book and one ‘just for fun’ book.
The Library is also open every lunchtime for all students wishing to read for pleasure in a quiet, calm setting.
Parents are also able to borrow three books per week. At the beginning of each year we issue a library card to all new parents to our school.Come and visit us soon to see what a wonderful place our Library is!
