Community BIG Drop Box

Helping our community was the focus of this year’s BIG Drop Box. Our student leadership team was challenged by our School Chaplain Jacky Creelman, to identify some local needs and come up with some ways to help our community. They decided they wanted to help some of the organisations that directly support our school and families.

The students decided to run a ‘Big Box Drop’. They got busy making videos and posters to promote the event and asked students to bring in a box of cereal or two.

Over 250 boxes of cereal were donated and made into a huge domino run, which all the students were invited to watch!

All the cereal was donated to FoodBank Peel and Bridge Builders Mandurah. Both organisations do a great job of feeding our community and helping food insecurity.

This event was also supported by our local Coles and Woolworths stores as well as Hon David Templeman MLA Mandurah.  Congratulations to our students for running this event and thank you to everyone who made it a BIG success.
