Students have been involved in a great range of events over the weeks, including a visit from some West Coast Eagles players!
PSSA Cross Country
On Wednesday August 2nd in cold, wet and muddy weather, our interschool cross country team braved the conditions to run to the best of their ability in the PSSA Cross Country. Overall Riverside finished in 4th position out of 9 schools. Individually we had many great efforts, including Layla, Aiva, Elyse, Amelia, Luka, Flynn and Tamzyn, who all finished in the top 10. Well done students.
BWA Basketball
Riverside’s Year 5 / 6 basketball teams competed in the BWA Basketball carnival at the MARC. Both the boys and girls teams won two games during the day, with each team making significant improvement in their team play over the day. Well done teams.
Eagles Cup Presentation
Riverside was treated to a visit from West Coast Eagles players Jai Culley and Coby Burgiel, who presented our winning Eagles Cup team with their shield. Students were treated to a Q and A session with the players with many autographs signed.
Faction Athletics Carnival Week
In the lead up to the Faction Athletics Carnival on Friday 1st September, we will be holding our traditional lead up events.
- Monday August 28 200 metres 2.15 – 3.00 pm
- Wednesday August 30 Jumps and Throws All day
Students selected for these events will be issued with notes next week.
Further information about the Faction Athletics Carnival on September 1st will be sent home next week.
