Faction Athletics Carnival

On Friday 1st September, we witnessed a huge community turnout for the Faction Athletics Carnival. With all students participating and competing hard in many individual and team events, the competition was lively. Despite a few showers during the afternoon, the energy of the students was impressive. After the grand relay was completed in pouring rain, students and parents assembled in the undercover area for the presentations. Congratulations to Stingrays for winning the shield for the second year in a row and to all the Champion and Runner Up students on the day. Final results were:

PSSA Athletics Carnival Division B

In week 9 the Riverside athletics team headed to Mandurah Catholic College to compete in the interschool athletics carnival. On a fantastic day of high-level individual and team games standard, the Riverside students competed to the best of their ability against some quality opposition. The final results for the three shields were:

Special mention to Oliver in Year 3 and Isaac in Year 6 who were announced as Champion Boys during the presentations.

Kindy/Pre-Primary Sports Day

The overcast weather on Friday 15th September did not dampen the enthusiasm of the Kindy and Pre-Primary students who enjoyed a fantastic morning representing their factions in the carnival. The students all tried their best and participated with tremendous effort and excitement in many events, including the sprint races, sack races, flag races and tunnel ball. Well done to all students.
